On August 23, 2020, for the first time in Central Asia and the territory of the CIS countries, a series of long-distance triathlon competitions will be held - BI Group IRONMAN Kazakhstan, as well as BI Group IRONMAN 70.3 Astana at the half-iron distance. Both events will take place on the same day.

This summer, Wanda Sports Group announced the addition of the BI Group IRONMAN Kazakhstan to the IRONMAN series event calendar.

“In 2018, we decided on a new territory by founding the BI Group IRONMAN 70.3 Astana. Today we are pleased to invite athletes to the second race in the country, which impressed our athletes with its hospitality. BI Group IRONMAN Kazakhstan will traditionally be held in Astana Triathlon Park - a special space for triathletes. The swimming stage takes place in the quiet waters of the Ishim River. The “tourist” bike stage will go through all the iconic sights of the city. A flat running stage with a height difference of not more than 30 meters was created for fans of acceleration in the last minutes and to achieve the best result.

At the moment, athletes from 44 countries of the world have already been registered , the list of which this year was added to Bolivia, Ecuador and Andorra, which indicates the genuine interest of foreign athletes in the Asian region. And literally on New Year's day, the first stage of registration will close, which makes it possible to register for the race at the lowest possible price.

Recall, Ironman organized throughout the year in various parts of the globe. Each of them plays a certain number of places (slots), which give the right to participate in the main start of the season - the Ironman World Championship, which takes place annually in Hawaii and in which the title of Ironman world champion is played. BI Group IRONMAN Kazakhstan will play 30 slots at the IRONMAN World Championship 2021 in Kalua Kona, Hawaii.
