Shymkent will host the national triathlon championship!

On May 7, Shymkent will host the republican tournament - the National Triathlon Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Triathlon Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a national triathlon tournament among professional athletes, held under the auspices of the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation.

ITT super-sprint race will consist of three stages: 300 m swim + 8 km bike + 2 km run. More than 110 athletes from different regions of Kazakhstan are expected to participate.

The goals of the competition are:

• identification of the strongest athletes;

• improving the level of skill and qualification of Kazakhstani professional athletes;

• advanced training of Kazakh judges and technical delegates in triathlon;

• development of triathlon and promotion of a healthy lifestyle in Kazakhstan.

Organizers: State Enterprise "Directorate of Sports Development" of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Shymkent Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Shymkent Triathlon Federation and the NGO "Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation".

Triathlon is a sport that is a multi-sport race, consisting of a continuous successive passage by participants of three stages: swimming, cycling and running, each of which comes from an independent cyclic sport.
