About us

The Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation is a public organization whose activities are aimed at developing professional and amateur triathlon, gaining leading positions in the world triathlon, and promoting a healthy lifestyle in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main goals and objectives of the federation are the development and popularization of high-performance sports and the development of mass triathlon in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Achievement of these goals is carried out on the basis of clear legal norms, criteria, and standards.

The Federation conducts physical culture, health and sports work, creating the most favorable conditions for triathlon fans at all sports facilities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. KTF pursues the goal of increasing the number of Age Group athletes to 10,000 people, masse involving them in organized triathlon classes at their place of residence. To achieve this goal, the "TEMIRADAM" Triathlon Cup has been developed, designed to attract wide sections of the population to the triathlon.

In order to develop high-performance sports, the federation implements and improves the system of search, selection and training of talented youth for triathlon. In the near future, the federation sets the immediate goal of athletes' participation of the national team in prestigious international competitions: in the Asian championships and in the world championships with entry into the top 3 prize-winners. The main goal of the federation is the conquest of Olympic gold by members of the national team in the women's and men's categories.

In order to develop professional triathlon, KTF initiated the creation of a research cluster in Nur-Sultan and Almaty. The cluster will contribute to the promotion of the scientifically grounded formation of training and competitive activity of athletes from the very beginning of their careers. As part of the implementation of this goal, under the leadership of the KTF Honorary President Karim Massimov, with the support of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a methodological manual “Triathlon. A program for sports schools ”. For the first time in the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism, with the participation of KTF, a practice-oriented educational program for the training of triathlon specialists 6В01402 "Physical culture teacher and triathlon coach" was developed, which passed foreign expertise. And also the federation began to form the research potential of the Kazakhstan triathlon, participating in the master's program in sports medicine, rehabilitation and sports analytics at the Nazarbayev University School of Medicine.

At the same time, work is underway to form the human potential of triathlon coaches and judges who are trained and advanced in the three-stage program of professional development courses for World Triathlon. And also, the professional level of coaches and judges is being raised through the KTF training programs with the invitation of foreign high-class specialists. All these measures will help in the future to identify talented athletes already at a young age.

Equally, the federation provides all-around assistance to the development of the material and technical base for triathlon training throughout the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. With the participation of KTF, infrastructure sports projects are being developed, on the basis of which sports events and the training process will be carried out, which, in turn, is designed to contribute to the intensive development of triathlon in the regions. For 2021, three triathlon parks have been built and are operating in Nur-Sultan, Karaganda and Aktobe, where everyone can conduct running or cycling workouts for free. Accredited federations are actively involved in the development of triathlon in ten regions: in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent, Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, Zhambyl, Karaganda, Kostanay and Pavlodar regions.

The Federation has formed a modern media resource through which the cultivation and demonstration of the results of a healthy lifestyle is carried out, the reduction of the harmful effects of an unhealthy and antisocial lifestyle, the development of domestic tourism and patriotism.

In turn, KTF is active in the international triathlon field. The Federation is a recognized member of the World Triathlon, Asia Triathlon and Central Asian Triathlon Association.
